St. Croix Mill

I spotted this mill while driving the old Number One highway, trying to avoid construction on the 101. It’s associated with the Minas Pulp & Power plant, and I immediately wished I had my camera. The next time through, I was sure to stop and climb around- there are some restricted areas so you have...

Erica & Chris

First wedding of the 2010 season- Erica and Chris- and we’re off with a bang! Their beautiful baby girl Emma Mae was a frequent highlight of the day, poking her little nose into many of the photos. We beat the traffic and the heat and had a great day! To view more photos from my...

Ogilvies

I photograph a fair amount of family reunion type events- where a group of relatives gets together after a long absense, and they want a photographer around to capture the moments that happen. It’s one of my favorite photography events because it’s pretty relaxed, there’s usually some good grub involved, and I get to know...

Corrine & Jamie

I was very lucky to photograph Corrine & Jamie’s wedding last summer. They were the first to ever be wed at The Elms, a nursing home in Coldbrook. The location was beautiful and we had a great afternoon together exploring the gardens.

Purcells Cove

I call this place ‘Kat’s Cove’, as it’s where we took my friend Kat on her last night in Nova Scotia. It kinda sums up the feel of the province for me- the rocks, the ocean, the sunset.

Grammie

_MG_2156

I was blessed with four wonderful grandparents. They’re all gone now and I miss them every single day. They shaped me into who I am. This is Neil’s Grammie, who I’ve adopted and latched onto with a full heart. She allows me to pretend she’s mine. This was taken as part of a photoshoot we...

Oh, how I love to discover a new landscape spot. This little gem is Lawrencetown beach, at sunset in July. We climbed to the top of a grassy hill to get a better view across the little town.

Baby I

What a gorgeous and serious creature this girl is.  She immediately knew she liked pearls (good choice) and she’s also quite fond of her mom and dad. We had some fun playing with baskets and blankets. To view more photos from our afternoon, click the video below. (Video may take a minute to load or...

Halls Harbour Boats

Again back to Halls Harbour. Happened to be here at sunset with a family for a photoshoot and couldn’t resist stopping for some photos ‘just for me.’ I love the boats hanging out here at low tide- makes you wonder what would happen if they were tied just a little tighter!

Courtney & Joel

Sometimes, the weather, the models and the atmosphere all align for a perfect wedding day- and that was certainly the case with Courtney & Joel.  A love affair that spanned from Australia to Nova Scotia, these two were beautiful, devoted and super easy to work with. The shot at the dingle is one of my...

I’m thrilled to be photographing Becky and Rick’s wedding this summer. Becky is a longtime friend, we went to high school together and she’s a peach. She called me out to her farm last autumn to take some photos of she and her now-fiancee, Rick. Looking forward to your wedding! To view more photos from...

Baby T

Christmas time means dressing babies up in ridiculous costumes- although Baby T didn’t seem to mind. He really was a little angel and I can’t wait to photograph he, and his family, again.

Scots Bay Hay Bales

Driving around on the north mountain looking for great landscapes- came across this field in Scots Bay. Had a great chat with the farmer, I was afraid he wasn’t going to let me leave he was so pleased to have someone to talk to. But this shot was worth it.

Erin & Mark

This was a joyous wedding. My first wedding last summer with my new camera, and getting to know Erin, who I’d grown up around but didn’t really know. Turns out both she and her husband are awesome- loving, creative, and it was one of my very favorite weddings ever. A lot of really special moments.
